Well. It's been quite a month. My cat lost the end of her tail, my son graduated preschool, and I did a whole lot of editing. I continued to work through Normal while doing about a dozen smaller projects as well. Finished chapter 3 on draft three.

For the first time, I'm using the track changes function in Word. I love it. It's makes me feel so very productive. Look at all the red slashies I made! All the underlines! It feels like progress is slow, but then I look back and can actually see the progress I've made. It's a good feeling. I'm doing ( Read more... )

I already have chapters 14 and 15 edited. Mwa ha ha! At this rate, maybe I can get another chapter done while Critter is napping later. I did more deleting than adding today; word count is now 84,494.

I strolled into Barnes & Noble today and I found Six-Word Memoirs on Love & Heartbreak on a feature table of Valentine's-related material. There is no index by author name, so skimmed through the entire book to find my entry. Well, today wasn't the best. My sinus pressure caused the kind of headache that had me debating drilling holes in my skull to relieve the pressure. Since I wasn't up to writing, I decided it was time to submit the various small things I wrote up for Smith Magazine. Today's count looks small, but it includes dozens of assignments. I worked on entries to send in to Smith Magazine, most of which were six-word sentences. So yes, I did quite a few sentences. I also did a 100-word essay for the pregnancy memoirs contest.
